In 1939, an intrepid reporter in New York City makes a connection between the story she's covering – of famous scientists suddenly disappearing around the world, and a recent attack on the city by giant robots. Determined to find the solution to these happenings, she seeks the help of her ex-boyfriend, the captain of a mercenary legion of pilots. The two are investigating the case when the robots attack the city again, though in a stroke of luck, Sky Captain's right-hand man is able to locate their source. They then set off on an adventure in search of the evil mastermind behind these schemes, who is bent on creating a utopia and destroying the current world.
A film with some good actors but with a very, VERY poor story… you can always figure the next step in the plot, being this steps ALWAYS a cliché of some kind, even the end gag.<br/><br/>The whole film is overlapped with a visual layer to give it the "retro" look, that fails to add something to the felling of the film, but in truth just masks the poor special effects.<br/><br/>The characters are completely superficial, and the story itself have some facts that aren't remotely explainable and even sometimes scratching the ridiculous.<br/><br/>Lowest rate to this movie (1). Total disappointment.

Teamed with the skilled pilot(Joe'Sky Captain'Sullivan) and an adventurous colleague(Franky Cooks). It's up to her to thwart the plans of mad scientist bent on world domination.<br/><br/>This is the most coolest movie I've seen , it's like a combination of between an early Superman cartoon in early 1930 and Batman and also Iron Giant. And the new generation or era or edge been born or make, this movie has everything from humour to adventure to breath taking scenes.<br/><br/>Believe me the trick on this movie is a retro style directing, even this movie been make in entire blue screen and 100% CGI. The first time director Kerry Conran used an early 1930 style to make this movie such a joy while watching it and bring up the pleasure for viewers.<br/><br/>Lastly,I think Kerry Conran will be the greatest Filmmaker because he just make a magic through this movie.10/10
